The Central Shelby church of Christ is a group of Christians whose goal is to put God first in everything we do. To that end, we attempt to pattern the work, worship, and organization of this local church after the New Testament example of local churches. We are nondenominational, not being a part of any man-made organization.
Our desire is to promote a spirit of "family," fellowship, and unity at Central Shelby -- yet never at the expense of the truth of God's word. Our unity is based upon the word of God. We believe that true spiritual harmony can only exist when people are united upon the firm foundation of the Bible. Truth cannot be compromised (Galatians 1:6-9; John 14:15; 2 Timothy 4:1ff).

An Invitation To Our Services
We invite you to visit our worship assembly. You would be our honored guest. At these assemblies, we believe you'll find a church that is gathered for the primary purpose of praising the Lord. He is worthy of great praise and adoration! In these assemblies, we sing a mixture of modern and 'traditional' a capella spiritual songs (Colossians 3:17). Heartfelt prayers are offered up with a spirit of awe, respect, and love for God (Acts 12:5; 1 Corinthians 14:15). We partake of the Lord's Supper on Sundays (Acts 20:7), memorializing Jesus' death on the cross (Matthew 26:26-30). Also, on the first day of the week, we take an offering (1 Corinthians 16:1-2; 2 Corinthians 9:6-7). Some may trivialize this portion of the worship service, but we try not to minimize any part of the assembly. Each is equally important. [Note: we do not solicit contributions from our visitors.] Finally, Bible based lessons are presented during the worship service. We are not perfect, nor do we claim to be. We are simply Christians who are trying to do God's will, draw closer to Him, and be Christ-like in our daily lives. Our plea can be summed up in the wise words of Solomon: "Fear God, and keep His commandments. For this is the whole duty of man" (Ecclesiastes 12:13). WE MEET AT:
